Volunteer Opportunity!!

Uncorked Joy is a silent auction/fundraiser that is being held next month to benefit the Children’s Cancer Association. The coordinator of the fundraiser has asked us (Lakeridge) to make some Christmas tree ornaments that represent joy for the fundraiser. They will be sold at the fundraiser and all of the proceeds will be given to the Children’s Cancer Association. These ornaments can be made out of anything. (wood, metal, fabric, etc…) These pieces must be completed by November 1st and turned into Amy Burnham. If you keep track of how long these ornaments take to create you can get some service hours and remember because you’re in NAHS you need 10 more hours of community service in the arts. Also, as a thank you for these ornaments the coordinator has reserved 5 spots in the silent auction for pieces of artwork Lakeridge students have created. If you are interested in the silent auction talk to Amy.

Grant Opportunity!

Okay, guys. There is this group called The Bald Faced Truth Foundation who wants to raise money for the arts and get people involved, blah, blah. Anyways! On October 17th, they are giving out a $1,000 grant out to the club or school who brings the most people to the Portland State Home football game at PGE Park.

HELP US GET $1,000 FOR OUR ART PROGRAM!

Ask for the special BFT tickets ($10!!!) and all the proceeds go to the foundation.
